Laser Toning
Laser toning is performed using a Revlite® laser. This laser emits light at 532nm and 1064nm. This treatment is performed with the 1064nm wavelength and very short nanosecond pulses. A nanosecond is one thousandth of a millisecond.
This laser light targets the deeper tissues of the skin to stimulate collagen production in the dermis. This treatment results in improved skin texture and appearance. It also improves the appearance of the pores.
This is a walk in and walk out treatment with the only side effect being mild to moderate redness which only lasts a few hours and can be covered with make up. Laser toning is not a painful treatment but local anaesthetic cream is applied for 30 minutes prior to treatment to minimize any discomfort.
The results of laser toning appear gradually and usually 4-6 treatments are performed at 2-6 week intervals. Many patients then choose a maintenance laser toning treatment every few months.
As always the post treatment care involves daily application of a 30+ sunscreen and moisturizer.
Laser toning can be a stand alone treatment or it can be combined with microdermabrasion, laser treatment of facial veins and pigmentation and injections of dermal fillers and muscle relaxants.
